28 New Street is an end terrace home set on popular New Street in the ancient Stannary town of Chagford. The property is a level walk to The Square with its wide range of day to day and specialist shops and it is almost exactly opposite the access to the open field known as O'er Hill which leads down to the common and onwards to Meldon hill and the moor beyond. Chagford has a primary school, pre-school and Montessori school, a Parish church, Roman Catholic church and chapel and surgeries for doctor, dentist and vet. There are four pubs, cafes and a number of clubs and societies to join. Directions

From Fowlers front doors turn left and walk to the top of The Square turning left into High Street and passing the Three Crowns and Globe Inn. At the next junction turn right into New Street. Walk along New Street for about 250 metres and on the left, immediately after the granite Victorian former primary school, you will find 28 New Street.

Living room

Rear garden

A very generous garden with a stone paved sitting area, a curved stone bench and granite retaining walls and wooden steps up to the lawn and main garden. There are flowering shrubs and an apple tree, a panelled fence that runs up the garden on the south side and then the garden broadens to a large level area with wooden steps ascending to it as well as a slope for lawn mower access. At this large upper area there are glorious views to Meldon Hill, Kestor and the high moor with the promise of some magnificent sunsets and plenty of sunshine as it has a long south facing boundary.
